Chandigarh University Enters List of Top 30 Universities in NIRF Ranking 2022

National Institute Ranking Framework, NIRF Rankings 2022 were recently released by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in 11 categories. Entering the list of top 30 universities now is the University of Chandigarh (CU). Carving out a special place by securing the 29th place among all the public and private universities in the country, CU entered the league of top universities in the NIRF India ranking.
According to the official NIRF 2022 ranking press release, the University of Chandigarh has also become the youngest university to enter the top 30 universities in India. Speaking about the feat, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor of UC said, “Chandigarh University is not only the youngest but also the only university in the country to consistently give excellent performance in national and international rankings, such as QS world, QS Asia, NIRF or NAAC, and improving its position year after year.”

Referring to the laurels of University of Chandigarh in NIRF Ranking 2022, Sandhu also said that CU got 2nd position among all universities and 1st position among private universities in Punjab and Tricity. However, when it comes to rankings in India, Sandhu said that CU got a 48th place among all universities and colleges in India.

As mentioned earlier, the NIRF 2022 rankings were released in 11 categories and in many institutes the names were in the top spots in more than one. Talking in detail about the NIRF India ranking, Sandhu said that Chandigarh University got 3rd place among all engineering institutes and 2nd place among all private engineering institutes in Punjab and Tricity.

Referring to the NIRF 2022 ranking as an excellent assessment tool, Sandhu said that CU ensures the holistic development of its students. This year, the University of Chandigarh has seen over 900 companies offer over 9,500 job offers to their students. Interestingly, this number was said to be the highest in North India and adding to his laurels, a student received one of the highest packages if Rs. 1.7 crore.

Even in management and architecture, the University of Chandigarh fared well in the NIRF 2022 rankings. Speaking to the media, Sandhu also added that so far CU has filed 1,816 patents making it the ‘leading autonomous institution’ to file the highest patents in the last three years.

Showing how Chandigarh University is becoming a top choice for students, Sandhu also mentioned that CU is also the youngest university to break the QS Asia Universities Rankings 2022, securing a 271-280 ranking band.
